And that’s a wrap, literally, on gift giving (or buying if you still have a little more shopping do)! We are less than two weeks away from celebrating Christmas, yay!
If you’re looking for one or two more gift ideas for your little ones- I have my last two categories “something they need” and “something to read” right here for you! Below is a short list of items that fall under each of these categories for your sweet little ones! Most items are Amazon Prime items, so they will be at your doorstep within two shipping days! Lets get this gift buying finished together, shall we? But more than that, continue to prepare our hearts for the greatest gift we receive on Christmas, the savior’s birth! We will be hosting Christmas with our nearby family this year, and to say I’m excited to host our first Christmas in our home is an understatement. I am beginning to plan all the things and getting more excited! Are you hosting this year? Traveling? Whatever your plans are, I hope you enjoy them and travel safely if you’ll be on the move this Christmas!!
Alright, ready… set, let’s get this shopping DONE!
something they n e e d . . .
These are our favorite! We’re finally in need of a new set after having them for over a year now! They hold up very well, especially if you hand wash them!
currently on sale for $12 right now for these!! We use our leggings all the time, so stocking up on a pack like this when they are on sale is great to do as she grows!
A new pair of boots! – Bogs Boots
Our absolute FAVORITE brand of boots! We got C the same exact pair in the next size up for her growing little feet! Hold up SO well too- her old pair still look brand new, and Tommy will definitely get good use out of them when he will fit into them next year! They have a taller pair as well that would be perfect for this time of year!
The kiddos are constantly growing out of their jammies! I may have bought C and T a matching set of these the last time I was at Target 🙂
This is another item to think about getting as your little one gets bigger! These Halo Sleepsacks are our absolute favorite for our babies to sleep in at night. They are so much easier to use than swaddling them in a blanket too. Zip, wrap, and they are all snuggled up tight and ready for bed. We have used these for both of our babies since they were born, and will continue to use it for Tommy until he’s able to move! They act as a blanket for the child in a safe way that promotes them sleeping on their backs as well. We just have him in a sleep and play zip up onesie underneath one of these and he stays cozy all night! You can put their arms in when they’re fresh newborns, but right from the get-go Thomas liked to have his hands near his face and found his way out of the sleep sack, so we just didn’t swaddle his arms in at all really. It’s so funny the second time around the things you don’t think are a huge deal anymore. We thought we HAD to swaddle Collins arms when she was born, and she always did the same thing… this time around we just let Tommy show us, and he was just fine without having his arms swaddled at all!
and last, but not least…
something to r e a d . . .
It’s All About Jesus Storybook Bible!
One of our all-time favorite storybook bibles. We read from it all the time!
If you don’t have this book in your home library… you must order this! You remember this one, yes? Such a wonderful story that just captivates little ones! There are a TON (and I mean a ton!) of fun activities you can do to go along with the story if you search in Pinterest “the mitten” projects. A fun thing to look up if you are a teacher and you’re reading this during this last home stretch before Christmas break! My friend and mentor during my first year of teaching had a family member knit a GIANT white mitten and had the animals in the story that you could use to act out with a small group. We did this during our holiday party, and it was by far, the most enjoyed station by my students! Would be a fun project to do with your little ones at home too if you homeschool!
Treasury of Bedtime Prayers Book
Oh how we have loved this book so well! There aren’t too many pages in there that aren’t a little bit tattered. This is a great bedtime prayer book to read at night, but it is filled with prayers to pray through all parts of your day and around special holidays throughout the year! We haven’t picked this one up in a little bit, but I’m going to and pray through some of the Christmas prayers it has within it with C and T for these next few weeks leading up to Christmas!
Have you seen these before? If not, you should totally pick one up and watch your little ones LOVE interacting with this book as you read it! They are so fun and have many different ones that are about all sorts of topics!
You know this series! You’ve read them yourself! I introduced C to these not long ago… and these are totally her favorite books to read right now! She loves them because she has also memorized them, so she “Reads” them… and it is the sweetest thing and she is SO proud! I just love listening to her read. The day she actually is reading… will be SUCH a precious moment. Anyways, these are a great book gift idea for your little one, because they are classics, so fun, and they have so many of them that you can add to or begin building a collection of these on birthdays, next Christmas, or on other special occasions throughout the year… like conquering potty training!! (Can you guess what we’ve been up to lately?) 😉
I hope this last gift guide for your little ones will help you round up just a few more items for them! I am eager to hear if you purchase any of these books and how they go over with your little ones.
Now, go get ’em girl!!! Snag those last few items, and don’t look back! The thought behind the gift is what matters most. Whether that’s purchased or homemade. We have done a mix of both this Christmas with the kiddos, and being intentional and thoughtful behind both gift types has been important to us!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
with love,
from courtney
