Let’s chat about my FAVORITE sale of the year- Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale, aka the NSALE! On July 12th, early access to the best sale of the year starts at Nordstrom! This sale is personally, my favorite sale of the year to shop for a lot of reasons, and I’m going to share those with you this morning!
- The Nsale is one of Nordstrom’s BIGGEST sales of the year with exclusive discounts on brand new items for the fall + winter. Normally when you think of a big sale, it’s for end-of-season or close-out items, but my top reason I love this sale, is because everything is brand new for the upcoming fall/school-year and many of the items can be worn well into winter and even the following spring, for instance, HUNTER BOOTS are a major NSale sale item they typically have to snag each year during the sale!
- The Nsale includes brands and apparel that don’t get discounted often! For me, the SPANX leggings are a MUST-HAVE from the sale. I love these and will definitely be getting another pair during the Nsale when they are discounted at their lowest price! Normally $98, last year they were discounted to $64.90. If you’re planning to shop the sale this year, definitely add these to your cart! As I previously mentioned boot brands like Frye, Hunter, Steve Madden, Vince Camuto, Blondo, Dolce Vita are always on sale with brand new booties, OTK boots, and riding boots for the season! These are always some of my first stops during the nsale when I shop the sale because BOOTIES go QUICK! If you go shop the sale in-store (don’t recommend if you can shop online with the free shipping + returns Nordy has!) the shoe department is always a ZOO! I never shop the sale for shoes in-store. Last year you had to be given a ticket number in order to be seen/go in to the shoe department to shop… again, shop this sale online if you can! Some other great brands that are always included in the store that are a MUST to try- barefoot dreams sweaters… these are LITERALLY like wearing a blanket and make great Christmas gifts! Athletic shoes like Adidas and Nike… my favorite pair of strength training/running shoes + everyday, errand running with two little ones came from the NSale last year! Some other brands to be on the lookout for during the sale- UGG– slippers, boots, and more… totally the time to snag these for Christmas gifts or future birthday gifts! Tory Burch (especially if you’ve wanted to get a pair of their “Minnie” flats, they always have a few included in the sale, and I love my solid black ones I got during the sale a few years ago!), Madewell– they ALWAYS have a couple great oversized sweaters during the sale + their denim and travel totes!
- FREE shipping and FREE returns, all the time. Another reason I love this sale… if you don’t like it, you can ship it right back, with the shipping return label all ready to go they provide for you in your box that you can ship right back in the box or plastic package it came in. Another thing you can do- order online and have it shipped to the Nordstrom store you want. That way you can get the items at their online pick-up kiosk, try your items on there, and easily return them right at the store, too. Another great way to shop the sale! Which leads me to how you need to shop this sale online…
CLICK, ADD TO CART, BUY, RETURN LATER. (trust me on this one!!)
If you want to shop this sale the right way, you have to act fast. I can’t tell you how many times I have missed out on at least trying out an item from the sale because I waited too long to decide on it online… like the AG “LEGGING” JEANS… I’m in need of a new pair of jeans and I am not missing out on these this year! Here’s my thought- you can ALWAYS return it if it doesn’t work… and do it at no cost! A lot of items from the Nsale are a one and done sale item, so once it’s sold out, it won’t be restocked until after the sale is over. SO… click, add to cart, buy, return later! My biggest advice if you are planning to shop this sale.
You can get a head start at taking a look at a preview of some of the sale items by looking through their NSale Catalog online or by picking one up at their store! Maybe you were sent one to your home address, already! This is a great way to browse some of the featured items that will be included in the sale to get a feel for it…but be aware, there will be a TON more items included in the sale. The catalog truly is just a preview of the sale, and I personally don’t think it always showcases a lot of great items IMO :).
One more key to shopping this sale is getting the early access to shop it by becoming a Nordy Club cardholder. Or if you have a family member, shopping through their account during the early-access online and in-store. Now through July 10th, when you sign up to become a cardmember you also get a $60 bonus Nordy note that you can use towards shopping the Anniversary Sale! There are two options for applying for a Nordstrom card:

If you are planning to purchase a card to shop the sale early- cardmembers will be able to start shopping the sale on July 12th at 12:30 pm est online and in-store through July 18th.
The sale then becomes open to the public on July 19th-August 4th, and prices on the sale items go back up on the 5th. I am SO excited to share my personal top picks, top picks for men, children + home items, and more as the early access to the sale starts next week! EEK! So excited!!
