A few weeks ago I shared some great “something to read” gift ideas for your kiddos. I wanted to share a few more, that are focused on Christmas that I think you guys (and your little ones!) would love to add to your Christmas book collections for this year.
First up, is the The Jesus Storybook Bible A Christmas Collection: Stories, songs, and reflections for the Advent season book! My children absolutely loved receiving this book and is one that they gravitate to. They love flipping the pages, pressing the button, and having the story read aloud to them! It is a collection of stories, songs, and reflections that would be perfect this Advent season to read and listen along with your children.
Next up, is Over in a Stable. One of my favorite things about this one is the illustrations. It so beautifully captures the miraculous night of the birth of our Savior, and has memorable counting and cadences that your kiddos will remember and love to read along with you. This would also make a great Christmas gift this year, or a book to order now and read during Advent!
A Very Fiona Christmas is so cute and my kiddos just LOVE the interactive light up cover page in this sweet story of a little hippo named Fiona who is experiencing Christmas for the first time and trying to figure out what Christmas is all about. I think your kiddos will love this sweet story like mine did! You can find other Fiona books as well in this picture book series!
Last but not least, Song of the Stars has been a treasured book in our home we take out at Christmas for a few years now. It is always a favorite for the kiddos as they listen and read along with me while all the animals are excited and preparing to follow the star to that little stable to see the birth of the Savior. It has a very rhythmic flow to it as you read, and my kiddos just love that! This would be an excellent Christmas gift or book to donate to your church library/nursery!
